We’ve partnered with one of the UK’s biggest energy suppliers to offer home batteries, alongside two exclusive market-leading tariffs.

Our batteries come with no upfront cost and we can install in just a few weeks, helping more people take control of their energy bills.

Batteries have traditionally been paired with solar panels, but with falling hardware costs and the emergence of brand new tariffs, the technology now stands on its own.

This makes it an exciting prospect for homeowners who can’t go solar but still want to do something about the rising cost of electricity.

If you can't get solar, you can still save a lot of money with a home battery, especially when it's paired with the right tariff

Breaking down the cost barrier

With this package, you get a home battery installed without paying anything upfront, and instead make a fixed monthly payment of £37.50 for 10 years.

This means you don’t need to have thousands in the bank to make significant energy bill savings.

And despite no upfront cost, you’ll own your battery outright from day one, and have full flexibility over how you pay.

For example, you could make a partial early repayment without any fees, and choose whether it reduces your monthly payment or shortens your remaining term.

The package includes a 10kWh battery and inverter, backed by a 10-year product warranty and an industry-leading 10-year insurance-backed workmanship guarantee.

Alternatively, you can pay for the battery upfront, which includes the same warranties.

Finance subject to acceptance. Representative example: 120 monthly instalments of £37.50. 4.5% representative APR. Based on a loan of £3,628.45 at a fixed interest rate of 4.4% per year. Total amount repayable: £4,500.00 of which £871.55 is interest.

Customers want more control over their energy – not just what they pay, but how they use it.

Two simple tariffs designed for saving

You can choose between two new British Gas tariffs, both fixed for two years and designed to help people get maximum value from their battery.

In either case, British Gas will optimise your charging schedules so that they always have low-cost electricity on hand, whatever time of day.

Store&Save charges a flat rate of 11p/kWh, and is currently the lowest anytime fix on the market, whilst Store&Reward combines a higher flat rate of 22p/kWh with a £37.50 monthly bill credit for 24 months to cover the cost of the battery.

Energy bill savings will vary based on how much electricity you use and what tariff you choose, but as an example: a home using 4,100kWh per year on the Store&Save tariff saves £640 per year (or £190 per year, once you factor in the Sunsave payments).

This initiative from British Gas will give more people affordable access to clean energy technology that can really lower their bills.
