Good news! We’ve secured new funding that’ll help us scale the UK’s first solar subscription service, Sunsave Plus, to tens of thousands homes across Britain. It’s the next step in our mission to make the power of solar accessible to all UK households.

We’ve raised £113 million, including a £100 million facility from one of Europe's largest banks, Crédit Agricole, and £13 million in Series A equity funding, led by Norrsken VC and IPGL.

This will accelerate our rollout of rooftop solar across England and Wales, helping more people cut their energy bills and go green with no upfront cost.

This investment shows faith in our business

We’ve secured a £100 million debt facility from Crédit Agricole, which will fund the installation of tens of thousands of Sunsave Plus solar & battery systems all over the country.

Our funding round was also oversubscribed, and every major investor from previous rounds committed more money to maintain or increase their stakes – demonstrating their commitment to us.

Returning investors included ICAP founder Lord Michael Spencer, former Asda chairman Lord Stuart Rose, and FGS Global founder Roland Rudd. We also attracted new investors like Clearance Capital, as well as early employees from Wise.

We’re growing rapidly, and Sunsave customers are on track to save thousands

We’ve grown over 32% month-on-month since we launched Sunsave Plus in January 2024. Households with Sunsave Plus have seen net savings of over £685 per year on their energy bills, with most customers’ savings exceeding their subscription costs.

This led Sifted to rank us the 14th fastest-growing startup in the UK & Ireland earlier this year. The Financial Times-backed outlet also identified us as one of the three youngest companies on the leaderboard.

Our success up to this point is down to our fantastic team’s hard work, the confidence our customers have in us, and our market-leading solar subscription offering.

Instead of a hefty upfront cost, Sunsave Plus customers make a completely fixed monthly payment for 20 years, giving them an immediate net saving on their energy bills.

The fixed payment also protects people from long-term energy price rises.

This is a significant milestone, but we’re just getting started

Our co-founders have hailed the importance of this funding round.

CEO Alick Dru said: “This £113 million fundraise is a significant milestone in our journey – it will let us meet rapidly growing demand, launch new products, and give customers peace of mind that we'll be here to support them for the long term.”

This long-term support is the 20-year Sunsave Guarantee, which includes 24/7 monitoring & maintenance, a free battery upgrade, a free inverter replacement (if required), insurance, and downtime cover.

Our COO, Ben Graves, said: “Our customers don’t just want solar for the environmental benefits. Going solar can save you real money and help protect you from volatile energy bills.

This funding validates our vision of making clean energy accessible and cheap to every UK household.”

Our long-term vision is to become the UK’s first all-in-one home energy platform.

We’re building a system to bring software, hardware and financing together with the aim of cutting households’ bills and making them more energy independent.

This will include expanding Sunsave Plus to cover complementary services, such as EV chargers and heat pumps, to help customers save more by optimising their tariffs and usage.
